Why Gel Nails?

Gel nails are a type of artificial nail that is made from a mixture of gel and acrylic. Gel nails are similar to acrylic nails, except they are thinner and lighter. Gel nails are also easier to remove than acrylics; you can simply soak them in acetone for a few minutes to remove them. The main drawback of gel nails is that they must be cured under an LED or UV lamp, which can be time-consuming. However, many women feel that the benefit of having durable, long-lasting nails outweighs the inconvenience of having to cure them under a lamp. Gel nails have become increasingly popular in recent years, and there are now many different types and colors available.

Ol’ Reliable

Acrylic nails have been a traditional method of manicure that offer tough nail extensions. Combining liquid monomer with lengthy acrylics, you can build your own set and then color them to match any outfit! The drawback? Well there's always the time consumption but also odor from utilizing this chemical process as well as needing professional training or practice before getting great results in terms on shape, retention, etc.

The Healthy Alternative

Dip powders have been touted as a healthier way to do nails with the main benefit of not using an LED / UV curing lamp compared to gel and acrylics. The dip process adheres your natural nail without any monomer, which makes it more sustainable in terms on health concerns over time since there's no need for toxic chemicals like acetone or MEK that are found during manufacturing processes common among other types of nail polish products today! Some drawbacks though would be how sanitary the “dip” will be since you’ll be sharing it amongst other patrons, and the dust that gets into the jar of powder.

Which is Better?

This all depends on your goal. If it's to have longer nails, then acrylic is the better option because they can create extensions that go beyond the natural nail growth range of 1-2". Gel has smoother and glossier look, while dip is lighter weight with stronger durability against chips in comparison.
